The Advantages of AI in Magnetic Resonance Imaging Diagnosis
Artificial intelligence (AI) technology in magnetic resonance imaging diagnostics is one of the main advantages brought about by the application of AI. Taly Czarninski, manager of the MediScan Imaging Center, says the facility has the first three-tesla (power) magnetic resonance scanner in the entire region, a high-field unit with greater sensitivity that provides higher definition when observing tissues and detecting pathologies. The benefit in terms of user experience is striking. Reducing the time of magnetic resonance exams could benefit patients, who often experience feelings of distress, anxiety or claustrophobia during this study. But less time does not sacrifice image quality, Czarninski stresses. “Artificial intelligence improves image quality, which ultimately helps doctors reach more accurate diagnoses, especially in brain scans and in the musculoskeletal area”.
A study by New York University's Grossman School of Medicine and Meta AI Research, published last year in the scientific journal Radiology, found that artificial intelligence (AI) makes it possible to reconstruct magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) scans faster than standard methods, which improves patient access to this type of service.
