The survey found that cybersecurity (24%) is the most common source of anxiety for leaders, at a time of growing sophistication of cyberattacks. The second topic that worries them most is Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning (19%), mainly because it is a technology that is moving “too fast”.

One figure is especially striking: only 30% of leaders fully trust their company's data. While some organizations struggle with fragmented and siloed data, the need to establish a single source of truth has become paramount. “Having a robust data foundation is essential for what is to come. The potential of Artificial Intelligence can only be fully realized when it is fed with high-quality data”.

One of the study's conclusions is that leaders increasingly need not only to understand technology issues but also to stay up to date on them in order to grasp the pressing demands and opportunities of transformation. All of this while effectively managing high-cost, long-term and highly disruptive processes.  94% of leaders, from all types and sizes of industry, share something: they already have a digital transformation strategy. But what does it involve? “It is much more than incorporating technology or making processes more efficient; it is about a profound cultural change in the organization's processes and structure”, the executive continues.

In conclusion, the study states that the areas of cybersecurity, AI, Machine Learning and Customer Service should be prioritized as investment destinations within the company. A race against the clock where efficiency, timing and flexibility are at stake. To benefit from these technological changes, it is essential to stay curious, promote early adoption and foster innovation within the organization.

Data-driven decision-making, alignment with organizational goals and a clear understanding of the "why" behind technology investments are crucial to navigating the ever-evolving technology landscape and mitigating concerns.
